FAQ's What types of sessions do you offer? Photos By Heidi Lowery specializes in child photography. I also love to photograph newborns, babies, families, expecting mama’s, weddings, parties and other type events. When should I book a session? Book approximately 2-4 weeks in advance for portraits sessions and various events. Newborn sessions typically book about 4-12 weeks in advance. I always try to accommodate everyone into my schedule when possible!   When should I pay the Artist Services? The Artist Services Payment is due along with your completed Artist Services Agreement/Newborn Agreement at least 24 hours prior to your photo shoot. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What happens after I book a session? Once you book a photo shoot, you will receive: an email that will have a link to my Artist Services Agreement for you to complete and submit online, a welcome guide, and an optional consultation (via phone, e-mail, or at an agreed upon location). You will need to make your donation at least 24 hours prior to your photo shoot. You will then receive: the photographer's time and talent up to 2 hours during the photo shoot session, a disk containing personally and creatively edited print sized digital images from your photo shoot (including a Print Release), and the corresponding web-sized and watermarked digital images for online sharing purposes only. Please see the Donation Package Options link for more information about various packages I've put together. Where does the session take place? Portrait sessions can take place anywhere outdoors! I can suggest some favorite locations or go somewhere that is special to you. Newborn sessions take place in your home. What time of day do sessions take place? It is highly recommend to schedule outdoor sessions in the evening, approximately 1-2 hours before sunset when the light is soft and beautiful. Mid-day sun is very harsh, which limits us to photographing only in the shade. Early morning works well too, before the sun is too high in the sky. Newborn sessions typically take place in the morning & afternoon. How long does the session last? Regular portrait sessions typically last anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. A typical newborn session lasts anywhere from 2-4 hours, which is plenty of time needed for rocking, feeding, etc. Every newborn is different – Some sleep peacefully the entire session while others take a little more time, patience and feedings. Newborn sessions are not rushed and I will take as much time as needed to ensure I have captured beautiful photos. What happens after our session? Approximately 1-2 weeks after your session, you will receive a disk containing your personally and creatively edited print sized digital images from your photo shoot (including a Print Release), and the corresponding web-sized and watermarked digital image for online sharing purposes only. These are perfect for sharing on Facebook, emailing, showing off online, etc.. Do you order products for me?
